Philip Rule
We regret to announce the death on 2nd August of Philip Rule, a former Chairman of the Johnson Society between 2001 and 2003. Philip had been in Queen's Hospital Burton-on-Trent for three weeks and died there on Monday night.
It was Philip who was responsible for establishing the Winter Lectures which are now such a popular part of the Society calendar.
He leaves a widow, Pat, and four sons, to whom we extend our sincerest sympathies.
